In our Home page we quote inspiration as being :

  • Knowing how to understand and access this Wisdom
  • recording the information that is received
  • then envisioning the action needed to bring the project into reality

What do we mean by inspiration?

Oxford Dictionary definition of Inspiration– the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative: a person, place, experience, etc., that makes someone want to do or create something.

The key concept is that some external person or source prompts us to do something.

This inspiring person does not have to be a living being

The idea of the influence of ‘another’ is widespread – poets, authors and composers talk about their ‘muse’ - engineers and designers talk about being inspired - and some esoteric writers are open about the source of their inspiration – i.e., Mdm. Blavatsky, Annie Besant, Alice Bailey, Rudolf Steiner, Dion Fortune etc.”

‘It is possible for a man, if he so desires, to identify himself with the spirit and therefore with the Divine Ground, which is of the same or like nature with the spirit.’

The Divine Ground is our Wisdom - for more information look at the page on Wisdom

Let us continue to look at Inspiration,

First, we need to understand that in looking at matters of the spirit, we are dealing with higher levels of consciousness that are only accessible through a particular mental approach. This is a clear distinction with conventional matters that are contacted by the usual material methods.

For our continuing exploration, we will accept, at least as a hypothesis, that the teaching of the Perennial Philosophy has validity - and accept that it is possible to actively access the Wisdom of the realms of higher consciousness – rather than simply waiting for inspiration to arrive.

As a result of this process, the Inspired will have a clear vision of what is to be achieved and an understanding of how to set about realising it.  I will also be aware that the clarity of this vision, and their understanding and what is to be done, has arisen entirely through their fluency of working with the inspired guidance they are receiving.

Access to guidance helps to initiate the project.

Close contact needs to be continued throughout the development of the project to ensure its long-term sustainability and success. This will means being flexible in responding to new ideas rather than rigidly sticking to the original inspired vision.

Here we meet a major obstruction that may need the help of an ‘Enabler’

The Initiator will be encouraged by the help they have received from their guidance and may feel that it is essential that they continue to respond to the ideas coming through - and this means that it will be essential to:

'Go with the Flow'

Sticking to rigid ideas and plans may obstruct the flow.  This in turn leads to a reluctance to be too specific about the timing and details of the project and the exact nature of the ultimate outcome.

Hence a reluctance to draw up concrete business plans !
